In the design phase, all visual elements are created, including images, icons and photos. A color palette and style guide are defined to ensure visual consistency across the project. Prototypes are then developed to illustrate how the website will appear across different devices, such as mobile, tablet, and desktop, providing a clear preview of the overall user experience.
The development phase brings together the planning and design work by building both the front end and back end of the website. The front end implements the approved layouts, style guide, and interactive elements for users, while the back end manages server-side functionality, database operations, and integrations that ensure the site runs smoothly.
In the testing and deployment phase, the website undergoes thorough evaluation to confirm proper functionality, security, usability, compatibility, and performance. After all tests are successfully completed, the site is deployed to the production environment and made publicly accessible.
The web development life cycle continues beyond testing and deployment. Like any application, a website requires ongoing updates to maintain security, ensure reliability, and protect users.
